Statement from Cllr Lib Peck

“London boroughs are determined to improve the life chances of young people vulnerable to getting involved in violent crime. This is why we have set up this repository which will help to share practice and learning across London. Cllr Lib Peck statement

As well as locally developed tools and responses, useful data and links to other resources, this repository makes available a framework for Community Safety Partnership Knife Crime Action Plans. The framework is built on best practice across boroughs – that sets out the core elements that would appear effective in a local knife plan (together with further optional actions that boroughs might want to use).

We would very much encourage London local authorities to submit examples of work they are doing independently or in partnership to prevent and tackle serious youth violence, including knife crime, to London Councils.”
