London Councils are pleased to announce that we are seeking nominations for our eighth annual Apprenticeship Awards. With the challenges set for boroughs with the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy, it is more important than ever to recognise, promote and celebrate the contribution apprentices make and the innovative work happening in each borough to create new opportunities.

This is your opportunity to showcase the value of apprenticeships to your organisation, demonstrate how your staff have contributed to apprentices’ success, and highlight how you are maximising the apprenticeships that are created with your contractors, suppliers and local businesses.

London Councils is seeking entries from every London borough to the London Borough Apprenticeship Awards, to recognise and celebrate the contribution of apprentices to London’s local authorities and communities, and the innovative work happening across London to create new apprenticeships.

The 2018 London Boroughs Apprenticeship Awards categories are as follows:

  1. Best Contribution by a New Apprentice
  2. Best Progression by an Apprentice
  3. Best Apprentice working in the Supply Chain
  4. Best Manager or Mentor
  5. Best Work with Supply Chains and/or Local Businesses to Create New Apprenticeships

This year, London Councils have introduced a new cateogory- 'Best Apprentice working in the Supply Chain'. This category recognises the many apprenticeships created through council partnerships and celebrates the impact they have made on their employer.

From all the applications received, we will select our Apprentice of the Year.

The nomination pack can be found by clicking the 'Download Report' link on the left hand side of this page. Nomination packs will also be sent directly to boroughs. In the Nomination Pack you will find details on how we judge each category and what information to include in your nomination.

You will also find a consent form for Nominees to complete. We would welcome these to be returned alongside your completed nomination pack. We have also included a privacy notice on our website for the Apprenticeship Awards

Information about last year's awards and the winners can be found here on the London Councils website
